Mario Lopez is back in the "Extra" saddle.

Launching its milestone 15th season on Monday, September 15th, with new host Mario Lopez at the helm, viewers can expect a ramped up entertainment news experience.
Extra has built a social network and interactive website where viewers can become active participants.
Benefits for regular viewers include exclusive access to stars, vendors, giveaways and discounts and even love connections. “Extra” is making it easier than ever for viewers to be on television.
When asked about taking on the role as sole host of “Extra,” Lopez says, “I’ve always liked hosting…I feel comfortable with it. This is a great show and I love the new direction. I’m really happy to be part of it.”
As for his dream interview, Lopez reveals, “I am fascinated with Sarah Palin. Obviously, everyone wants to speak with her, but I’d love to sit down with her, really get to know her.”
Lopez is backed by correspondents including: Dayna Devon, Jerry Penacoli, Carlos Diaz, Terri Seymour, and New York-based reporter AJ Calloway. Tanika Ray serves as daily correspondent and Lopez’s co-host on “Extra’s” Weekend Edition.
“Extra” features a website filled with original content not seen on the TV show, including photo galleries, exclusive video clips, behind-the-scenes footage and interactive elements like contest and polls.
