Comedian, satirical pundit and filmmaker Bill Maher has always poked a big stick at politicians.
Now they had a chance to talk back at the RNC directly to Maher in their own segment of the popular "New Rules" which closes every "Real Time with Bill Maher" show.
Now in its sixth season, HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" features an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists, and interviews with in-studio and satellite guests.
This week saw CNN correspondent Jeffrey Toobin joined by the roundtable guests former White House press secretary Scott McClellan, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele and actress Kerry Washington.
Dan Savage was the week's "Real Time" correspondent.
Maher served as moderator of "Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher" from 1993-2001,
In 1996 he signed with ABC to host "Politically Incorrect ..." for that network beginning in January 1997. Later in 2003, Maher signed with HBO, to host "Real Time with Bill Maher."
HBO notes the show will air again on Sunday at 1:15 p.m. and 2:10 a.m., Monday at 8 p.m. and Wednesday at 11 p.m.
