He Hates women. He hates Minorities. He hates the poor. He hates breastfeeding. The only thing in this world Maher seems to admire is Hugh Hefner.
So why on earth is he back on the air? SOmenoe take the camera off him before he starts goose-stepping and raising the swastika flags!
The American people are to blame!? So maybe a few million people were 'irresponsible' for being sold loans they couldn't repay. That amount of debt and all of the credit card debt does not hold a candle to the $62 trillion in derivatives (credit default swaps) invented by Wall Street (enabled by Phil Graham, John McCain, the Bushes and Reagan deregulation). It is that huge scam that is the major problem and the current 'bailout' of around $1 trillion (to retire the primary mortgage defaults) won't come close to covering that over!
So the American people are not to blame for that. What the American people are to blame for is believing in the wrong, criminal leadership in both government and business for the last 30 years. An older American people were fooled once into the Great Depression. The next generations gradually forgot that lesson (and started voting Republican again). But recently, one can only blame a bare majority (of those who voted)!
And don't quote Adam Smith on capitalism. Smith had the bizarre hope that 'morality' - whether it be innate or religious - would be the necessary restraint to prevent the excesses even he knew were bound to happen. It is insane for the same people who have such a negative (and somewhat realistic!) view of human nature to 'trust' in the 'invisible hand' of the market (just people) to restrain itself. These are often the same people who demand 'three strikes and your out' for a 7-11 robber, but are willing to trust human nature with billions of dollars ... without government restrained capitalism.
