'Desperate Housewives' star calls off engagement to Bolton

Ortega / PR PhotosThe two released a statement and have officially ended their engagement of more than two years, a representative for the couple told People magazine Tuesday."Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement," said rep Nicole Perna. "They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter."The white soul singer Bolton, 55, and the "Desperate Housewives" star Sheridan, 44, originally started seeing each other way back in 1992 for five years. The couple reunited in 2005, and announced their engagement in March of the following year.
