CW’s 90210 remake will be without Ian Ziering too

05/31/2008 - Ian Ziering - Palms Place Hotel and Spa Grand Opening - Arrivals - Palms Place Hotel and Spa - Las Vegas, NV, USA © PRN / PR Photos“It’s not really where my career goals are focused right now,” Ziering, who played Steve Sanders on the runaway ’90s hit show, told People magazine. “I’m really looking down the line pretty far and this might be a step backwards.”The 44-year-old actor played Sanders in the popular series, which will also be produced without Tori Spelling.Ziering is next seen in National Lampoon’s 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas.“You know, Steve Sanders lives on in our hearts and in our minds,” says Ziering.The CW’s 90210 remake will see a return of Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty. Spelling fell out over the lack of parity in her salary per episode.“I think that it’s fantastic they’re trying to recapture some of the excitement that 90210 brought to a decade,” says Ziering to People. “I wish them all the best of luck.”
