Joanna "JoJo" Levesque turned down Miley Cyrus' star-making role of Hannah Montana.
R&B and pop singer Joanna “JoJo” Levesque told “Extra” that she refused the part.
“Yeah, they [Disney] offered me the role…[But] it’s not really what I see for myself,” JoJo admitted. “No regrets. No regrets at all.”
In 2004, JoJo rose to fame with her platinum-certified self-titled album and has starred in several television and big screen projects.
She currently stars in Lifetime’s "True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet" in which she plays a hard partying “It” girl who’s overdose ends up on “Extra!”
But how does the 17-year-old avoid the temptations of Hollywood herself?
She explained, “I still live in New England. I’m an east coast girl till I die and I still live with my mom.”
For more with JoJo, tune in to “Extra” tonight!
Tune in to Lifetime’s True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet on August 9th.
