Just under 300# and she realized she needed to make a change - well duh!
I do think she is a beautiful girl and has a great voice at any rate. I'm sure as busy as she is going to be trying to raise all those kids and have a career, she will lose lots more. She should be very successful.

I cannot believe the she won..over Gabe or Shawn, she should stay home and get those kids raised not out and gone on the road all the time.

Just because she won this, doesn't mean she will be successful and on the road. She can do her recordings at a studio at any rate. Not every singer is on the road - it's their choice.

Gabe should have won Nashvlle Star. He was the only true country singer in the competition. Melissa has a great voice, not for country music, possibly for Broadway Musicals. Nashville Star is fast losing it's credibility. Under no circumstances should Gabe have lost this contest. Gabe will have a great career in spite of this loss. I doubt many will pay the money to see Melissa. She really needs to be at home raising those precious children. Gabe is the true Nashville Star this year.

She doesn't have a country voice - turn on your hearing aid, Granny!

Melissa, I am so proud of you. You did a fabulous job and your voice is beautiful. My husband and I sing gospel music at different churches and even though at church it is supposed to be about God and not competition, it is still a trial, especially if someone thinks you sing better than them, or if you don't, so I know the anxiety you went through, and I thought you were the 'ONE' from the beginning!

I picked Melissa for the winner right from the start. She has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. She is a gorgeous lady, and should be so very proud of herself. As far as her weight, what on earth does that have to do with the way she sings. People should be judged on their talent, not how they look. I wish her all the best, and the sky is the limit.
