"It's an honor...My ass is already sore," stated Saget.
Comedy Central is now celebrating America's favorite TV dad – Bob Saget. If that wasn’t enough, John Stamos (a.k.a. Uncle Jessie) will be the Roast Master.
“Bob Saget is one of the true nice guys. I've apologized to him in advance for what this evening holds in store for him," said Elizabeth Porter, senior vice president, specials and talent for the Comedy Central network.
For some, Bob Saget is known world-wide for his television roles, the long-running sitcom “Full House” while also serving as the eight-year host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
For others, Bob is known by a more "adult" audience because of his blue stand-up comedy, and various theater, television and film work.
In 2007, Saget kicked off a national theater tour that continues through 2008 and starred in the one-hour HBO special, “That Ain’t Right,” which is available on DVD. Over the past year, Saget starred on Broadway in the Tony Award winning play, “The Drowsy Chaperone,” hosted the NBC game show “1 vs. 100” and he continues to narrate the CBS show, “How I Met Your Mother.”
He directed the hit DVD release, “Farce of the Penguins,” the film, “Dirty Work” and the telefilm, “For Hope.”
“COMEDY CENTRAL Roast Of Bob Saget” Premieres Sunday, August 17 At 10:00 p.m. ET/PT
