Mentalist and mystifier Criss Angel builds up the ante in “Building Implosion Escape,” a one-hour, special edition of Criss Angel Mindfreak (link), televised LIVE tomorrow (Wednesday, July 30) at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
Angel will be shackled inside a six-story former hotel outside of Clearwater, FL, and he will attempt to escape the restraints and overcome physical obstacles to make it to a hovering helicopter on the roof before the building implodes in front of the crowd, cameras and viewers at home.
For this special event, A&E is allowing viewers to send support to Criss via text messages that will appear both at AETV.com and on a JumboTron located at the implosion site.
Fans can also subscribe to a text blog to get live updates from the event sent straight to their mobile phones. In addition to status updates every ten minutes during the event, the text blog will also include information about the implosions such as how many pounds of explosives are being used and other interesting facts.
