NBC “The Baby Borrowers” reunion, Dr. Drew Pinsky moderates debate

Dr. Drew Pinsky will moderate a town hall that features the controversial show "The Baby Borrowers," and the cast of families and teen couples who participated in the summer series.

NBC’s Hoda Kotb (“Today”) will host “The Baby Borrowers: Lessons Learned” an interactive town hall special on Wednesday, August 6 (9-10 p.m. ET) that will reunite the teen couples and parents of the “borrowed” babies of NBC’s reality series.

Joining Kotb will be relationship expert Dr. Drew Pinsky who will moderate and query the guests in a spirited debate on the hot-button topic of teen pregnancy.

The hopes are that it will be revealed what lessons "The Baby Borrowers" teens learned after they resumed their own lives.

The parents who lent their babies to this social experiment will also be on-hand to talk about their children's current welfare and the reasons for participating in the show.

NBC announces that special guests are The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy CEO Sarah Brown, “The Baby Borrowers” executive producer and creator Richard McKerrow, as well as three Gloucester, Massachusetts teens who will discuss the alleged “pregnancy pact,” which made national headlines. 

The special will also feature critics of the program, plus experts in adolescent psychology and teen pregnancy.

“The Baby Borrowers: Lessons Learned” will be an interactive event where some viewers will be invited to text in and will also answer questions submitted by viewers on NBC.com.
