Yesterday was the travel day down to Comic-Con for me; after speaking to Sci Fi channel's Eureka star Colin Ferguson about the new season and the cool premiere episode that features Martha, the teen "bad to the bone" drone, it was pack the car and fly down to San Diego on the 405 to the 5.

Nobody told me a big rig caught fire at Camp Pendelton, closing the 5 down and causing one of the longest southbound delays EVER. I was hallucinating by the time I made it to the San Onofrio Dolly Parton-esque nuclear dual concrete chichis. Calling everyone in my address book (some twice) as a diversion until my battery gave out; when it was all said and done, five hours were spent in my car on a trip that should have take two.
Now the fun begins, today will be a visual assault of the Star Wars themed nerd prom and I will be reconnoitering with San Diego Jack FM's Monique Marvez and a very fit "300" Spartan for main floor fun. Our plan today is to ambush Frank Miller and Simon Pegg. Miss Horrorfest too.
