The TCA (Television Critics' Association) Press Tour nugget for Saturday morning is the news that the CW show "90210" will also bring back Shannen Doherty to the fold.

This morning's 90210 panel assembled included creator Gabe Sachs, who announced that all the rumors are true and Doherty will be appearing on the new show, guest starring as a special drama teacher who will direct the high school's musical.
CW's "90210" will premiere on September 2 with a two-hour pilot.
Other Beverly Hills 90210 alumni confirmed include Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling as well as the return of the new and improved Peach Pit, still owned by Nat (Joe E. Tata).
Producers all promised that the roles will be recurring and not just random special cameos and refused to divulge any specifics.
The 90210 showrunners Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah, (Freaks and Geeks), spoke about the need to steer away from the obvious soap aspects and focus instead on elevating the storytelling.
The producers alluded that Jessica Stroup's character, named Silver, may somehow be connected to David Silver (Brian Austin Green) from the original series, only saying we would know the answer to that by the end of the pilot.
