Jon Stewart EPA/Michael Yada/AMPAS/Conservative talking head James Dobson has been ranting to the media about how Barack Obama is supposedly “deliberately distorting the traditional understanding of the Bible to fit his own worldview, his own confused theology,” to which Stewart and his writers use Dobson's own words to expose his blatant hypocrisy.Dobson’s argument was over Obama citing the Old Testament. Obama had mentioned verses in the book of Leviticus on the legitimacy of slavery, and the abomination of eating shellfish, despite the fact some Christians believe the Jesus-era New Testament scriptures trump the Old Testament.Stewart's producers unearthed Dobson quoting Leviticus on CNN's Larry King Live in defense of the late Rev. Jerry Falwell’s never ending disapproval of homosexuality.Jon Stewart then commented: “Oh, right, I forgot … it’s okay if you’re talking about the... ho-mos! Still, I wouldn’t mention Leviticus to Larry King. I mean, he was there. I mean — this is true — Lot’s wife was actually Larry’s third wife. He married her post-pillar-of-salt.”
