Miss Universe show taps Melanie B, joins Jerry Springer

Mel B will host the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant.
The former Spice Girls star will present the beauty contest alongside US talk show host Jerry Springer in Vietnam on July 13.
She said: "I'm thrilled to be a co-host of the Miss Universe Pageant. I believe the diversity and dedication that the pageant brings inspires and empowers young women across the globe."
Jerry added: "This is obviously a great honor and getting to work alongside Mel B makes it even better."
This is the latest attempt from Mel to make it as a TV presenter.
Following her second place finish on US TV talent show 'Dancing With the Stars' in 2007 Mel returned to the programme to interview the contestants backstage.
Mother-of-two Mel will also co-host 'The Singing Office' with former *NSYNC star Joey Fatone - in which office workers compete in karaoke and spelling bee competitions.
Previous hosts of the Miss Universe pageant include supermodels Elle McPherson and Naomi Campbell, and Nick Lachey's girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.
