Elastic funnyman Rowan Atkinson reportedly did not appear at "The Black Adder" reunion show, a series he made famous with his character Prince Edmund (Black Adder), according to the Sun TV Biz column.
The BBC created many landmark television series, such as "Monty Python's Flying Circus," "Fawlty Towers", "Absolutely Fabulous," "Mr. Bean" and "The Black Adder."
The "Black Adder" BBC series ran for four seasons with six episodes each, every season placing a member of the Blackadder family and his manservant Baldrick in a different time period in British history.
Comedian Rowan Atkinson (Bean, Rat Race) and Tony Robinson (The Neverending Story III) starred in each episode.
Now BBC chiefs, according to the Sun, had a "plan" to bring all the cast members of the comedy together for its 25th anniversary.
The Sun claims Rowan, 53, won't appear despite his co-stars (writers Richard Curtis, Ben Elton and actors Tony Robinson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and Miranda Richardson) participation.
A Sun snitch claims, “Rowan is very private, he doesn’t do interviews and he rarely makes public appearances.
“It was a shame that he wouldn’t appear on the reunion shows as all his friends were delighted to join us. But Rowan sent his apologies.”
This reunion scheduled to broadcast on UKTV Gold’s Blackadder Exclusive: The Whole Rotten Saga and Blackadder’s Most Cunning Moments.
The TV show will assemble interviews with the stars as the reminisce the production of the intelligent historical comedy.
