Sean Stewart's rehab treatment is to be filmed for a US TV show.
The troubled 27-year-old, the son of singer Rod Stewart, has checked into California's Pasadena Recovery Center and his recovery will be chronicled in the second series of 'Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew'.
The programme will start filming later this month, and other stars rumoured to be taking part include Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss and rocker Sebastian Bach.
Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has also been approached to appear on the show but has yet to commit.
The show follows the celebrity patients as they battle their addictions with the help of Dr. Drew Pinsky.
The programme's website describes it as: "An inspirational journey where every step in this challenging process viewers will witness their true life struggles."
Sean has been to rehab several times before, and was recently cleared of attacking a couple at a Hollywood party.
He started drinking and taking Ecstasy, Vicodin and cocaine when he was 13, and was using heroin every day by the time he was 19.
His father eventually cut off his £6,000 monthly allowance, but he was jailed in 2002 for assault in Malibu and was arrested for drug offences while out on bail.
