'Californication' star Natascha McElhone's husband dies

Natascha McElhone has been left devastated by the sudden death of her husband.

The 42-year-old star - who is pregnant with the couple's third child - is said to be in a state of shock after her spouse, top plastic surgeon Martin Kelly, was found slumped on the doorstep of the couple's London home.

He was discovered on Tuesday night (20.05.08) by a fellow doctor and it is thought he may have had a heart attack.

Natascha's stepfather Roy Greenslade said: "It's still a mystery about the death. It's so unexpected. Such a fit, handsome, fighting fit young man of 42. So we are in a bit of a terrible state, to be honest.

"It's just completely baffling. A medical colleague was on hand, so he had the best possible chance but was just unable to revive him.

"There was no indication, not in the least. He was a great rider, a great skier, and he was just a fit, fit, kind of chap."

Natascha - who starred alongside George Clooney in 'Solaris' - already has two children with Martin, Theodore, eight, and five-year-old Otis.

She has travelled back to the UK from Los Angeles, where she had been filming the Showtime series, "Californication" with costar David Duchovny.
