Idol chatter: Archuleta's dad booted from backstage

TMZ is all trash. So why do report their trash?
No self-respecting media outlet would repeat anything TMZ says. Enough said.
We all have our own musical favorites, but, I cannot for the life of me understand why this kid is in the finals, let alone a favorite. I can see the effects of his father on this kid's strange and creepy affect. He is like an airhead. Some may think it's endearing, but, he's going on 18 for God's sake. Boys his age are going to fight in Iraq. He doesn't do a thing for me musically. His singing style is not my cup of tea. But, most importantly, there's something about him that has really bugged me all season and it's gotten more intense each week. I actually hate him for it, not because of anything he's done, per se, but, because I think he's so undeserving and frankly, I think he's goofy and vapid. His dad really seems like a jerk, too. Maybe that's little David's biggest handicap. He's his dad's cash cow and his dad is a jackass. I cannot stand watching the show this season except for Syesha and David Cook. If Syesha goes home before that unoriginal little twerp, I will realize that Idol is no longer a show for me. David Cook and she are the only fresh talent left.
Everyone has a favorite for one reason or another, but it's too bad when hatefullness and nastiness have to creep into it. These contestants are probably all nice human beings, and hope for a musical future, and, (how unbelievable),none of us knows anything about their personal life or thinking!!!
American Idol is fixed, David A. is a phony. during 'inspirational' week, he sang angel, the video clip mentioned he just found that song that week. LIAR LIAR, there's a clip of him on youtube singing that same song a few years ago. David A. is EVIL!! I just can't stand looking at him. AMERICAN IDOL IS FIXED AND RIGGED FOR YOUR VIEWING PLEASURE.

Peter sees the light. I agree. IDOL is fixed. Everyone knows this kid is going to win the whole thing. He's the next CLAY Aiken only this time our stalwart hero will come in first.
It's a rigged show...when it comes right down to it the real phoned in results will be disregarded for an EXECUTIVE decision.
Heres how you can check....there'll be a time in the next couple of weeks David will be in the bottom two. But he won't go...it's just a ploy to keep you on the edge. The following weeks he'll emerge victorious.............FIX. Pay attention now ok?
Jeannie and perternewyork, you both hit the nail on the head! This kid got old for me ages ago. He's the only one I have to FastForward halfway through the song.(thank God for Tivo!). No originality like the others - he sounds the same every time. He should have gotten kicked out when he screwed up the word to “We Can Work It Out”. I'm getting sick of the Randy calling him 'da bomb' all the time. I don't get it - actually I do. To peternewyork's point, they probably pander him to fix it to get a young person the big record contract and all the teeny-boppers love him. I want Cook as lead singer in my band - he picked crap songs last week but he can sing the f*** out of anything, and as far as originality, there is no contest. Cook will lose but sell more records in the end. David will win, have 1 album that sells well, then try another and it will bomb because by the time he's 20 the cuteness will wear off and he'll come of out the closet. And I'm sure his ass-of-a father will really beat him the crap out of him then!
Tom, Jeannie, PeterNewYork, no matter what you say negatively about David A, no matter how you bash him, has no effect on people who are going to vote for him. You guys, should bash people who are the same age as you are, not a 17 years old. Shame on you!! If you don't like him, just keep it to yourselves. For I know, many, in millions love David A, and they come from all over the world, repeat ALL OVER THE WORLD. The more you bash him, the more that people love him, you can't change their minds, including mine. More love, means more vote for David A. Do you get that. You are just wasting time and efforts bashing David A. And regarding the recent news about his father, that is a hoax, coming for TMZ, no credibility whatsoever. It is a total fabrication. Period.
Am not a fan of David A nor David C nor Syesha, but I believe I have the responsibility to spread what is true. The news about Jeff A. is false. Here's the true story:

“The rumor that surfaced yesterday on an entertainment Web site about Mr. Archuleta are categorically false,” said Ms. Jamison. “As part of normal procedures at American Idol, all family members of contestants and personal coaches are prohibited from participating in rehearsals during the final two weeks of the competition and the finale.”
According to online Web site TMZ, Jeff Archuleta was told this week by producers that he can no longer join his 17-year-old son David as he prepares for the show. The person was allegedly not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.
However, Ms. Jamison stated that this was mischaracterized. “The ‘ban’, if you will, applies to all family members and others not directly affiliated with the show and 19 Entertainment. This did not single out Mr. Archuleta nor do producers have any problems with his conduct whatsoever.”

Katie and Loving David A. have the right attitude. If you don't care for someone or their talent, why is it so necessary to be mean about it, although I know some people make themselves feel more important by putting others down - a little jealousy or resentment maybe. These contestants are just following their dream and some have a lot of talent.
For those who have commented that David A. stated that he had found Angels that week you should watch and listen carefully to the tape. He NEVER says any such thing. He only says that he had trouble picking a song. And more important to note is that they have absolutley no control over the way in which their footage is edited and presented so to hold them accountable is not only absurd but lacking any mature intelligence. Music is for the soul. I personally love all the idol contestants because I do not harbor hatred in my heart. David A. is a gift to us all.

but it's too bad when some people have to stoop so low in doing it.
I also visited the site david-archuleta.org to read the posting, according to AI spokesperson Andrea Jamison who sets the record straight. And in brief, no relative or friends of ANY of the contestants are allowed to come to rehearsals for the final 2 weeks, so nothing bad happened with his dad. also TMZ are a 'rumored filled site-they twist what a source says to fit the feeling of their story.' People that work for these outfits have no scruples or morals and are trying to find a story for what is a normal relationship between a close father and a gifted son. Anyone with a brain (which i'm sure 99.9% of David A fans have)will realize why david is where he is...it is because everytime he gets on the stage and opens his mouth to sing he gives us that 'feel good' aspect combined with youth and innocence and that is very powerful!and all this rubbish will go out the window when this happens. Now wouldn't we be kicking ourselves if we gave into this fodder, didn't cast our vote and he got eliminated before even making it into the top 2??
Too bad these incorrect (on purpose or my mistake) reports don't have to be publicly retracted.
People should stop reading TMZ's articles. They are probably going to ruin David's chances. I think AI should say something before the show on Tuesday stating what the real truth is. Just like they did with the Paula rumors. All parents etc. are banned for the remaining shows exactly like the AI spokesperson said. Not the way TMZ stated it. People please vote for David A. as much as you can so he won't be eliminated because of this stupid rumor.
I think the two who are voted off will still have great musical careers because they have had the exposure they need - look at Daughtry - he has been extremely successful just to name one.
I was tired of David A. after the 3rd week. He has the same
sound no matter what song he sings. Boring!! David C. has been
original almost every song and has a great voice. I think Simon is always right. He's not afraid to speak his mind and I think he
knows talent. (Paula seems to be more with it the past 2 shows,
although I'm sick of her too.)

Too bad he has to be so controlling. Hopefully David will be able to get out from under his clutches as he has a beautiful voice and could do very well and without this control freak!
