They were difficult songs for the contestants to sing, but they all did well except for Brooke, who should definitely be voted off as she can't sing that well on any song, and Jason. They just don't seem like American Idol types. Syesha would be great on Broadway, and I'm not so sure where Carly fits. I think she has a good voice.

This is season 7 and I am shocked that, as of yet, you have not had on the show, 'the voice' tom Jones. What is up with that? One of the greatest pop singers over the past 40 years. Tom is at the MGM in Vegas all the time and I bet he would love to be on the show, I know he would have a lot to contribute to the contestants. You talk about owning the song, making it yours, owning the stage, and singing with feeling, who better to express those things than tom Jones? ......anyway, just a thought.....rick Davis springville California
Just a short question, .........this is season 7 and AI has not had tom Jones on the show, why?
Who better to help the contestants than someone who has been a pop icon for over 40 years. This man, 'the voice' .....tom Jones, knows how to deliver a song, own the stage, song and audience...just a thought, Rick Davis, Springville, California....
I agree. Tom Jones has been on American Idol as a guest star singing, but not as a mentor, etc. Why not?
