Derek Hough - © PRN / PR Photos“Extra’s” Terri Seymour caught up with newly engaged Cook who admitted that she was shocked when her boyfriend proposed saying, “I had no idea because he had just bought me a promise ring two months before… It was a surprise.”Cook told Seymour that when her boyfriend popped the question on the Idol stage, it was actually the second time he asked her to marry him.As for the first, she explained, “We were at the [American Idol] apartments and you can’t get away from security that much. We were walking and he was like, ‘I just want to talk’ …We were looking everywhere for somewhere to go and have a conversation…..We walked through the weight room and there was the sauna. It wasn’t turned on and nobody was in there. We sat in there and talked for awhile….And after that, he proposed to me there.” She adds, “We haven’t set a date yet, but I think I want to do it next year, in the summertime.”Dancing with the Stars partners Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough are the latest contestants to be caught in a romance rumor as photos of the two kissing on the beach surfaced today. DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba and season five alum Sabrina Bryan were at Hollywood’s Whisper Lounge as the duo revealed secrets of their own. Bryan, who is dating her former DWTS partner, Mark Ballas, told “Extra” that they are still an item saying, “We're just hanging out and seeing how things go…Just making it cool.”Inaba broke couples news, revealing that her Russian ballroom dancer boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev, is scheduled to appear on Dancing with the Stars. “He’s going to perform with Ashley Simpson, next week, Tuesday,” Inaba exclaimed.For all the latest Reality Romance News, tune in here.
