Janet Jackson has pulled out of this weekend's 'Saturday Night Live' TV show following her hospital admission.
The 'Feedback' singer - who was taken to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday (10.03.08) after complaining of "shortness of breath" - has decided to rest so she can recover from flu.
Her representative said: "The main prescription to get over this flu is rest - and that's what she has to do. She needs some time to get better."
'Saturday Night Live' spokesman Marc Liepis said he did not yet know who would replace Janet.
Janet's representative had previously insisted the singer's condition was not serious, saying: "Janet is fine. She is just battling this flu like everyone else."
The 41-year-old star has been busy promoting her latest album 'Discipline', which is currently number one on the US Billboard 200 chart.
She is planning to showcase her new tracks with a tour later this year.
