"American Idol" has finally winnowed the herd down to the last twelve contestants.
*Spoiler alert (west coast viewers)
After a forgettable opening performance tonight by last year's Idol runner-up, Blake Lewis and last night's odd show that had too much judge chit-chat and not enough good constructive criticism, the voters called in and the subsequent bloodletting ended the run for four unlucky Idols.
First, the lavender high-waisted stretchy pants WERE a bad omen as I had previously guessed. Asia’h Epperson is voted off. She attempted a Whitney Houston song, "I Wanna Dance with Somebody."
The Rich Little of the show, the girl of a thousand voices, Kady Malloy sang "Who Wants to Live Forever," by Queen is gone too.
The curse-filled MySpace video came back to bite Danny Noriega in his cute little tomato.
He sang "Tainted Love" and it made judge Simon Cowell say, "I thought it was horrible, the whole thing. Absolutely useless. I didn't like it. Hated the arrangement ... hated the performance, hated the vocal, didn't like anything about it."
Vamilla ice-cream cone Luke Menard also walked the plank. Wham! "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go," and now he is gone gone.
