When Extra asked if she would participate in a DWTS All- Star show, Osmond responded, “Only if you do it.”
She might not be the only Osmond strapping on her dancing shoes. There have been reports that Osmond’s brother, Donny, has been asked to participate in the hit show, as well, but she denies the story saying, “They are rumors.”
Osmond will be coming to daytime television in the fall of 2009 and she told “Extra” that she’s not expecting to be the next Lady O. “Can I be the next Oprah? Absolutely not. Oprah’s amazing. [She] brings perspective but our hearts are similar because she does all her charity,” Osmond admitted.
On whether or not her brother will be part of her show, she responded, “Well, yeah. The problem is Donny’s not very articulate…If he were there, it’d be a different kind of talk show.”
Staying healthy has become a priority for Osmond since losing about 40 lbs. Although she eats well and exercises now, she admitted to going to extremes in the past saying, “I didn’t eat. I was bulimic which didn’t work for me because I just liked food too much.”
Despite growing up in the public eye, Osmond explained that handling the pressures of fame nowadays is harder saying, “The difference is that our homes were more solid [back then] so we had a place to fall back on. So, that’s what’s concerning. These kids [current celebrities] don’t have that stability. They’re kind of raising each other.”
