Actor, director and producer, David Groh died of kidney cancer Tuesday in Los Angeles. He was 68.

Television fans of "Rhoda" remember actor David Groh as Rhoda's husband.
Variety reports that his nearly 40 year career encompassed film, television and theater roles.
A New York actor, Groh graduated from Brown, then studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art on a Fulbright Scholarship.
Groh appeared in numerous stage productions both in New York and London, and studied directing with Harold Clurman and acting with Sandy Meisner and Lee Strasberg.
His television role as long-time singleton Rhoda's boyfriend and husband produced one of the top rated episodes ever watched in American television history.
The famous wedding episode for "Rhoda" with star Valerie Harper was a ratings boon.
Variety lists his other TV roles that included "Law & Order," "Baywatch" and "Police Story" and guest spots on shows including "The X-Files," "Melrose Place," "Murder She Wrote," 'L.A. Law," "Dark Shadows" and "The Love Boat."
Groh also appeared in "Get Shorty," "Two Minute Warning," "Broken Vow," "Victory at Entebbe" and "Last Exit to Earth."
