'Grey's Anatomy' star Justin Chambers checked into a psychiatric ward this week.

The 37-year-old actor - who plays Dr. Alex Karev on the hit US medical drama - has been suffering from a "sleeping disorder" and voluntarily admitted himself to Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center psyche ward on Monday (28.01.08), before leaving the facility two days later.
A representative confirmed said: "He was exhausted and suffers from a sleeping disorder. He went in voluntarily to get some help."
The father-of-five was believed to be on the same ward where troubled singer Britney Spears is currently being treated after being sectioned on Thursday (31.01.08).
Earlier this week, Chambers was named Sexiest Father in a new poll.
The actor - who has four daughters, 12-year-old Isabella, 10-year-old twins Maya and Kaila and eight-year-old Eva, as well as a six-year-old son Jackson with wife Keisha - was given the title by lingerie company Victoria's Secret in their annual What is Sexy list.
