Talk about being lobbed softballs. Simon Cowell's girlfriend, Extra reporter Terri Seymour got the "big scoop" that her British boyfriend is really a big Mr. StayPuft Marshmallow man inside.

Terri sat down for her hard hitting exclusive where she grilled American Idol’s Simon Cowell, and the net results of her interview?

Simon has a soft spot for certain "Idol" contestants. 

One in particular who caught the judges’ attention was Temptress Browne, a football player from Philadelphia who was singing for her ill mother.

She was not given a ticket to Hollywood, but Cowell admitted she did touch his heart. “To have to turn around to somebody like that and go, ‘Look it's never in million years going happen,’ it's difficult. That was difficult.”

Cowell continues saying, “We’re all human, believe it or not…I didn’t want her to go home feeling it was the end of the world.”
