humans have been dominant for centuries... fun show to watch but realistic???? what would wipe out humans all at the same time???

1. Nuclear war ??
2. commet form outer space??
3. only things that can wipe us all out at the same time would or even could make this program any kind of reality..

I think a super virus could possibly do some major damage, but not the whole human race. Seems like a 'fear' tactic based on a fantasy scenario so the scientific community can build themselves up as the 'gods' of knowledge or something. The only problem with that is 80%+ of what they call knowledge is nothing more than speculations or assumptions, and those are actually the lowest forms of human intellect.

I'll reserve judgement until I have the opportunity to view the program. Then I'll consider returning here to provide comment.

if the documentary is anything like the movie 'I am Legend', then make sure to bring a pillow.

These guys are monotonous. Constantly underestimating the human race and pretending it's the latest in creative speculation about our future.

That's the oldest game in town. 'Nothing could ever get better, you better get used to the idea, you're doomed'. Clothe it in a 'fascinating' future scenario and hope the gullible masses buy it.

Aren't these the same guys who try to convince us we're no more than bio-chemical, stimulus-response animals? Ancient 'history' is more like it.

So...nothing will be left behind.no not even our radio signals in deep space....we better find ourselvs a god! or...or maybe some wonderfull aliens to save us!!The show says nothing about satellites, space station ,the 2 voyagers out beyond our solar system. But I guess if theres no life except this abberation on earth WHAT would care? The universe became aware ....looked around ..then killed it self!

Yep, pretty boring. All they did was give a documentary on the composition and decomposition of man-made materials, (the science of 'rot' 101), and placed it in an over-exaggerated 'what if' scenario. When is the science community going to do something of real significance, like develop non-fossil fuel fuels and alternate energy sources and quit living in the fantasy of bad science? Who pays for all that stuff anyway?

I believe the (science of rot 1o1)could be true no doubt. But it would be alot faster! we could never just 'disapear' we could all die yes. our pets would have plenty to eat ...for awhile .US!!but humans leaving no trace what so ever?like I said before we have left our mark in other places.landers and vehicles on the moon ,2 tonka trucks on mars .Yes orbits do decay ,but not for a long while.wwhat worries me is that intellegence is just a freak thing.....nature experimented it didnt work out on to the next thing whatever that may be. we are killing what may be the most rare thing in the universe...us!Its scary! This freak thing happened....and died from greed...what a waste!

This show rocked! Very fun to watch. Really smart too. It isn't about what happened to us, just what happens to everything else. GREAT SHOW!

I think some of you missed the point. This show was a glimpse into what the earth (primarily the US) would look like (not outer space, etc) if no humans were here. Who cares why there were no humans or what wiped them out?
