Simon Cowell combats rumors about missed photo shoot

FOX's coterie of stylists, publicists and phtographers were sent home from England without any promo shots of "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell. Rumors sprang up Cowell had dodged them deliberately.
Now Simon Cowell speaks to Extra! and clears up the internet rumors that he acted like a diva and cancelled a photo shoot at the last minute at a cost of $50,000.
Cowell spoke to “Extra” saying that he was indeed ill with a viral infection, and was actually laid up for four days, missing work for the first time in six years.
Not only did he have to cancel the photo shoot, he was unable to attend a press conference for his hit show, "The X Factor," as well.
