NBC's 'Lipstick Jungle' debuts Feb. 7

Candace Bushnell fans rejoice; the auteur of "Sex and the City" will unleash her NBC series "Lipstick Jungle," a new hour-long dramedy based on her best-selling novel, on Feb. 7.
"Lipstick Jungle" was created by DeAnn Heline and Eileen Heisler for NBC Universal Television Studio.
Bushnell also serves as executive producer alongside showrunner Oliver Goldstick. The pilot was directed by Gary Winick.
The show will premiere as a midseason replacement taking over ER's spot at 10/9c. The series will also be broadcast on Channel Seven in Australia.
The Thursday night series, which has a 13-episode order chronicles the adventures of three New York City friends: a film executive, played by Brooke Shields, a magazine editor-in-chief, played by Kim Raver, and a designer played by Lindsay Price.
Andrew McCarthy is also cast in the series.
