Is it possible to get an mtDNA or DNA result from these mummies?

China’s Secret Mummies details the scientists’ efforts to locate DNA samples within leathery inner tissue that had not degraded over the millennia. The scientists were ultimately able to extract enough material to yield some intriguing results.

The genetic trial suggested that far from being an isolated outpost, this section of the Tarim Basin was constantly inhabited for some 1,700 years until around 300 B.C.

The article on the Chinese Mummies is absolutely fascinating. I would like to contribute my small horde of knowledge to the mystery. Some of you may be aware of the books of Zecharia Sitchin on the Earth Chronicles, a series of seven books starting with 'The 12th Planet' which is an exceedingly extensive translation (basically) of thousands of
ancient Sumerian Cuneiform texts dating at least 3,000 years old if not
more.
The books show conclusively that the Sumerian Texts were written by a
group of those called 'Anunnaki' (Those who from heaven to earth came)
who were ancient astronauts seeking gold on planet Earth. They were
the ones who named our planet Earth. They apparently came here about
400,000 years ago. The reason we give high credibility to these stories
and accounts was, first of all, they directly reflect facts of the Bible
such as we can determine are true, such as Babylon, Ur, Baalbeck, etc.
and the amazing dressed stones of the wailing wall to name only a few.
But mainly their intimate and extensive knowledge of our solar system,
in which they demonstrated conclusively that they knew more than we
knew all the way up to the present!! They knew the composition and
character, for example of Neptune and Uranus, which we only recently
have discovered ourselves thanks to fly by satellites!!
To be brief,the story of Adam and Eve are basically true, but
instead of a Cosmic God, the God was a physical God, but perceived as
a Cosmic God by those inhabiting Earth at the time (Primitive hominids)
The Bible is a much truncated and brief version of some of the happenings
between these 'Elohim' and humans. They needed gold to create a dusty
sort of screen around their planet to protect and preserve its atmosphere.
At any rate the mining of gold in Africa got very hard and the miners
mutinied. So this Scientist 'Enki' said he would create a 'worker' for the miners to help them. He then combined the DNA of the Anunnaki with
the DNA of the various hominids to create Homo Sapiens. But he only
created a Hybrid which could not reproduce. So he re-did the DNA adding
the vital Y chromosome and also a higher intelligence and thinking
power to create Homo Sapiens Sapiens!! This was Adam. And of course
Eve came later. But the quote from Genesis is correct, since the
Anunnaki did in fact look like us, at least after the genetic engineering.
So indeed,'We will create Man in our image and likeness' was actually true. The story of the serpent referred to this Enki scientist who
added the greater intelligence without permission of the group vote!!
The meaning of Serpent is also 'The wise and learned one' according to
Sitchin.
Well, in short this went on all over the world during those thousand
and many thousands of years. Of course it was they who created the
Pyramids as navigation beacons. Their temples are in Peru, South
America and of course Mexico. They were the ones who brought Africans
over to Mexica (see massive round heads with African negroid features)
the Olmecs. In Peru they mined tin and gold to create the Bronze.
In ancient times, no one knew where the tin came from as it was in
short supply in the mainly 'civilized' world of the time. well, it came
from Peru, thousands of miles away!! Their mining was near Lake Titicaca.

So in my opinion the anomolous totally out of place blonde chinese were
a group assembled by the Anunnaki to go and civilize that part of the
world. They apparently went all over the world bringing civilization.
the proof of it is in the very detailed and extensive knowledge they
had of astronomy. It is felt very srongly that the only ones who knew
enough to build a stonehenge were these same Anunnaki. It is much
more complicated than at first thought.

You idiot, Dr. Mair said that east eurasian(mongoloid) arrived in eastern tarim basin by 3,000 years ago(1,000 b.c). He also said that not only uighurs but kazakhs and kirgizs are partly descended from mummies(tocharians). Remind me of dna by Dr. Tom Gilbert 'Unravelling migrations in the steepes: mitchondrial dna sequences from ancient central asia'. It show that the scythians(in kazakhstan) were a mixtures of tocharians, huns and siberians(42.8%), and indians(5-8%). They found all these dna traces in kazakhs(I thought scythians were iranic) and the tarim mummies-according to this documentary.
