Patrick Swayze is slated for a new A&E FBI drama, “The Beast,” scheduled for shooting late this year.
A&E is looking to launch four pilots this fall, marking its first originally scripted dramas since 2002.
Swayze’s participation removes the cast-contingency on the pilot, meaning the shooting was dependent on a suitable cast assembly, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Swayze, 55, made his mark in films such as “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost.”
The new A&E drama also features Travis Fimmel, who starred in the ill-fated “Tarzan” series on ABC.
