There wasn't one. As usual, this is News of the World, meaning it's at least 90% fiction. The whole story makes no sense. Piper has repeatedly said this isn't a good place in her career to return to the role as she's still trying to distance herself from it. Also, next series (I presume they mean 2009, since 2008 has already begun production) won't have a 'three episode finale' because it will consist of three 90 minute specials instead of 13 hour long episodes; Tennant will be spending the year playing Hamlet with the RSC or something. Plus, she was reportedly the highest paid actress in Britain in 2006; 20K pounds sounds extraordinarily low as an incentive to get her to return. The report is bunk. I wish entertainment 'journalists' would stop reporting rumor as fact, and stop quoting The Sun, News of the World and Life & Style as legitimate sources.

What you guys on about billie is coming back to doctor who There is a site of the episode guide of 2008 doctor who series and the last 3 episodes is the time war and mickey and her mother will be back aswell and its been confirmed

i heard recently tht she waz comin bac as well and tht they were close 2 gettin her 2 sign. i heard she waz comin bac at da end of 2008 in da las 3 episodes. i really want her 2 come bac.

i adored billie's character and i think she is a incredable actress . when i heard she was coming back i nearly hit the roof ! i think rose and the doctor should stay together forever !
