Actor Patrick Stewart, who played Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek : The Next Generation, has given a sci-fi tidbit to This Is North Scotland, saying he would like to appear in "Doctor Who."
"Doctor Who" is the longest running science fiction series in television history, and is a top favorite in the UK, where it filmed.
Stewart, 67, shared he was a fan of the long-running time travel series, but really wanted to appear in it.
"I have been (a fan) actually yes, and deeply dismayed that I was never asked to be in it! I think it's a terrific series," Stewart said.
Stewart is currently set to appear opposite current "Doctor" actor David Tennant in Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company next year.
