Her new single is allover the Internet, mostly benign to positive comments are being given to the young mother of two, who was once a pop star teen.
Britney Spears will release her new album in November, and her first major performance in three years will be at this coming Sunday's MTV awards ceremony in what the channel has billed "her long-awaited comeback".
She will open the award show with "Gimme More," the new song is a dance track produced by Danja, who was schooled by hip-hop producer Timbaland.
Timbaland has said publicly he doesn't want Britney to take part at the VMA's.
Her life prior to this event has been a rollercoaster of bizarre behavior, appalling lack of awareness and embarrassing public moments.
In February, she was remanded to rehab after buzzing her hair off. Strange claims of possible alleged child abuse after reports of baby teeth bleaching and rampant caries from soda filled bottles filled the tabloids.
Britney had some under-the-radar live shows in Southern Californian venues under wraps.
Federline and Spears are divorced now, yet still battle for custody of their sons.
