Courteney Cox can relate to her "bad" character in new TV show 'Dirt'.
The former 'Friends' star, who plays ruthless magazine editor Lucy Spiller in the US TV series, relishes playing the shocking character.
Courteney said: "I love that she is outrageous. You want her to be bad.
"Her justification is that she needs to know the truth - she wants to get answers. I can relate to that. I like the truth too - my favourite word is integrity. It's so important to me. I think that's how I relate to Lucy."
The 43-year-old actress, who played uptight Monica Geller in hit sitcom series 'Friends', insists there are some similarities between the two characters.
She explained: "They are both strong and intense women, but one is just more of a kook. Monica manifested her controlling nature by being a neat freak. And Lucy has good sides to her - she is vulnerable, she's doing the best she can, and she doesn't know any other way than to be this kind of shark."
In 'Dirt', Courteney appears in several racy sex scenes, including one sequence where she pleasures herself with a sex toy.
In another episode, the 43-year-old actress romps with a young, fit yoga instructor, while in another she gets hot and heavy in the back of a limo with actor Josh Stewart.
Cox, 42, also shares a steamy same-sex kiss with her former 'Friends' co-star Jennifer Aniston, who makes a cameo appearance in the series as a lesbian rival magazine editor.
