USA Network's "Psych" was last years number one new show on cable, and now has returned for its second season with all new episodes that premiered last night, Friday, July 13 2007 10pm/9c.
The premiere episode titled “American Duos” guest starred Tim Curry and Gina Gershon. The episode was directed by John Landis and was written by Steve Franks and James Roday.

When the latest incarnation of American Idol rip-off shows sets up shop at the Arlington Theatre, the requisite cruel British judge (Curry) found himself in a panic after a series of near-miss attempts on his life.
Police protection has been barely sufficient, so to ward of his inevitable attacker, he hires Santa Barbara’s most reliable psychic detective to protect him.

"Psych" is a quick-witted drama starring James Roday as the young police consultant Shawn Spencer, who solves crimes with powers of observation so acute the precinct detectives think he's psychic – at least that’s what he lets them believe.
The series also stars Dulé Hill as Shawn's best friend and reluctant sidekick Gus, and veteran actor Corbin Bernsen as Shawn's disapproving father, who ironically was the one who honed his son's "observation" skills as a child.
Also featured are Timothy Omundson, Maggie Lawson and Kirsten Nelson.
Guest stars for the upcoming season include; Tim Curry (“The Rocky Horror Picture Show, “Clue”), Gina Gershon (“Snoops”, “Cocktail”), Lou Diamond Phillips (“La Bamba”, “Young Guns”), Bianca Kajlich (“Rules of Engagement”, “Dawson’s Creek”) and John Amos (“Roots”,“The West Wing”).
To celebrate the return of "Psych", the Official Site at http://psych.usanetwork.com will tap into the fans' creative juices with several user-generated content features.
The “Psych" Mash-up Machine” will allow users to pull together video, audio and sound effects from the show to create their very own "Psych" short.
A "Create Your Own Quiz" tool gives fans the opportunity to dream up their own trivia games and challenge the "Psych" community. And users will even take the wildly popular video “Psych-Outs” in a new direction by submitting their very own scenes for the "Psych" cast to re-enact at the end of each show.
