I read the papers. It's riduiculous to Blame Mcmahon for this. Austins ex is a crazy woman looking for headlines and her allegations are frivilous at best.
Should we blame the NFL because OJ killed 2 people ?
Should we blame the NBA because of rape or murder perpetrators.
Should we blame the NHL because I delivered furniture to a key player and he stiffed me on a tip ?
No. Benoit, OJ and Tyson and all those other criminal minded people are responsible for their own actions. WWE fans are in shock because one of their
favorites turned into a madman and commited a heinous act and then killed himself robbing the world of justice.
Now all we have is the hope this never happens again.

I don't even know what to think. I'm still on shock i guess like everyone is.But not because of that we are going to come and blame wwe or better yet Mr. McMahon for what happened. I believe that the only one to blame here is Chris and lets hope that God forbit him

It is not WWE and Vince's fault that these adults choose to use drugs and steroids. But I do believe her allegations against Austin and it would have been beneficial to WWE to keep her quiet.

Yes, Chris Benoit is responsible for his own problems with drug abuse and the tragic crime he has committed, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the WWE is completely innocent in all of this.

Half of the performers in the organization were skinny kids when they started out. Once their popularity started picking up steam, they'd gain 50 pounds of muscle in a few weeks. There's no way that's happening naturally. Of course they have to ultimately make their own decision to use these substances, but there would almost certainly have to be some kind of outside influence on their decision.

The NBA, NFL, and NHL shouldn't be held responsible if their players commit a crime like this, but these leagues all test for steroids and other drugs and have a penalty system in place for people found to be using. They are actively trying to prevent their contracted players from engaging in these illicit activities.

Have you ever heard of a wrestler being suspended because they tested positive for steroids? Probably not, because they would have had them legally prescribed by their doctors.

Now I'm no fancy big city lawyer, but it seems to me that in order to break into the high-impact world of professional wrestling, you need to be in pretty good shape. I find it quite odd that such a large number of these men would be prescribed these drugs.

Could the doctors be crooked? Could the WWE have had any hand in referring said doctors to 'treat' their performers? Who can say?

Let's face it. The bigger and scarier the guys in the ring are, the bigger the ratings are going to be.

Ratings = $$$

It doesn't matter if it was caused by 'roid rage or just a very bad day in the household. The fact is still clear that there were problems in the marriage and neither one of them sought help to get through them. The fairytale business of the WWE grinds on all of its people, not just the wrestlers. The main characters never spend much time at home, they spend most times around other people in the business, and less and less at home, and that is not conducive to happy marriages. What Chris did in the ring, has nothing to do with his life outside of it, and the people that saw him everyday should have seen the signs, or been able to tell something was going to happen. It's ashame that this happened in the wrestling business' public eye, but, the reality is that this sort of thing happens everyday, in every city, country, and social and ethnic class in the world. Mourn for the ones that were murdered, and be glad that one less murderer is not around anymore. Lex Luger killed another of the business' stars a few years ago, and no-one talks about that much anymore.

Legal problems

On May 1, 2003, Luger's girlfriend, and former valet, Elizabeth Hulette, died in the townhouse they shared in Marietta, Georgia after mixing pills of hydrocodone, Alprazolam (Xanax), and anabolic steroids (testosterone and sazien) with vodka. Luger was arrested later that day after a search of the residence revealed a number of illicit controlled substances, including anabolic steroids, OxyContin, synthetic growth hormone, testosterone and Alprazolam. He was charged with 14 drug possession counts, 13 of them felonies. He was released the following day on a bail of $27,500 USD. Hulette's death was eventually ruled accidental. Luger pled guilty to the charges on February 3, 2005. He was given a $1,000 fine, sentenced to five years probation and required to submit to periodic drug testing.

Well its pretty clear these top level wrestlers are getting 'that big' from having perfect genetics, superb training and nutrition... NOT! The wrestling organisation knows full well the performers are abusing drugs and are happy to overlook the personal consequences so long as they can continue to exploit them for the money they make. Shame on them, they should all be photographed, put under a supervised organic regime, photographed again and then we should all be allowed to judge whos looking smaller. But the funny thing is I bet once the wrestlers had got over their roid withdrawl, they'd be happier more balanced people.

I took steroids for kidney troubles. It made my chest and arms big.
I can tell you right now... the only time I ever had uncontrollable tantrums.
I was on the roids. My kidney disease is in remission and I have never had another Rage episode again.
Roid Rage is real.

millions and millions of fans who generate billions of dollars.
wrestling may not be real perse' but the action is real the stuntwork is real
the people who do it are highly trained and could probably beat up real athletes like football players or boxers. It is sort of a mixed martial art.
except when they put on a show they allow themselves to be thrown around by someone else.

It' Benoits own fault. He murdered his family, he killed himself. It has nothing to do with vince or anyone else. There is such a thing as steroid rage because ive experienced it myself but not to the point of beating my wife. It's just an angry kind of feeling. Doesnt make you a murderer
