I loved his show. It's very sad to hear that he is gone.

I grew up watching Mr. Wizard every Saturday morning. Don Herbert was an intelligent, wise, and gentle man who made science amazingly interesting. He and his program are the reason that I loved studying science, and it is largely because of him that I have had a rewarding career in engineering.

It is with heavy heart to see Don'Mr. Wizard' go. He was a great person and we will be forever in his dept for all he has gone for the children and some of us adults too. Indeed he was sent from heaven and I know he will be missed!!! We as a country have lost a good person and will never be able to replace him! God bless him and his family who stood behind him in support while he opened our eyes to the wonderful world of science. I will never forget him...God Bless

I grew up with the Nickelodeon Mr. Wizard show, watching every episode numerous times throughout the 1980s. It was so exciting to see the truly magical world of everyday science, and it sparked a curiosity in me that continues with me to this day. While I'm not a scientist, I still love reading popular science books on everything from theoretical physics to evolutionary biology - and I have Mr. Wizard to thank for that.

I watch his show back in the 50's and 60's. Learn so much from him about science and the world around me. He always held my interest. He is apart of my TV memories of that time. Great man, great show. May he rest in peace.

Even as a small child I could tell this guy was a prick. I liked the show's content but I think he really hated children.
