This is so absurd, why is it the gays, liberals, and all the other special interest groups can say whatever they want about conservatives? They (meaning democrats, liberals, gays etc. etc.) have double standards.

Like Isiah Washington, I too will be departing from Greys Anatomy. I am extremely disappointed, all of my friends and family knew what a Greys fan I was. I can't however stand behind them any longer after such a travesty of justice. I don't happen to find fault in what Isiah said. Knowing T R Knight's sexuality did not deter me from watching. The way Isiah's been treated has. I will not continue to watch a show that will be so prssured by viewers who stand behind T R Knight and his type. The show should maintain its ratings as it appears our world is so full of that kind.

As a gay person, I am SOO disappointed. I was very troubled when Isaiah used the language he did (which sadly, appears even in this comment section). However, he has worked very hard to right a wrong. If ABC was going to fire him, they should have done so when the incident occurred. Waiting until their season ends, and his storyline can be neatly tied up, is quite simply: PURE COWARDICE BY ABC.

I will no longer be watching this show.

It was all planned. They could have fired him immediately but hey where's the fun in that? So they make Washington go jump hoops, apologize etc. and THEN fire him.

And all for what? Just because he used the word faggot? FAGGOTS!

For all of this the guy said one word out of frustration....then they remove him from the show....this is denial and a major back step for the Gay community.

Why bother to learn about these peoples issues when if you offend them they will just attack and attack until you are fired.

My advice is steer clear of anyone who is Gay if you can, that way you won't offend their hyper sensitivities.

This is where the PC movement has come to....the oppressed are now the oppressors.

Live and let live.....too bad the modern gay movement only remembers the former and has forgot the latter.

I just hate that this has happen I really Love Grey's Anatomy. But It just hurt me to think that the man done all that was asked of him & for what to still get fired. I use to have a few of my family & friend to watch Grey's Anatomy, then we would talk about the show after it went off. But I too will no longer be watching the show along with my family & friends ALL FOR ONE & ONE FOR ALL.

It is sad in the day and age that we can humiliate people. Isaah Washington did not have to appologize for anything he said. If that is actor is a faggot which is in the dictionary then that is what he is. I get tired of people using the word homophobia. A phobia is a fear of something. It doesn't mean hate of something. Since when is the USA telling people what to think. If you don't want to labeled a faggot. Don't be one. The actor is gay and so what!!! Just because he is gay or is a faggot doesn't give him special rights. You think faggots don't say anything bad about people? I hope Isaah Washington gets more work. He doesn't have to apologize to anyone. Let alone a stinking deviant

The man physically assaulted another cast member. Combine that with his homophobic comments and it creates a hostile work environment and in the majority of workplaces in America, that is grounds for firing. This is not an isolated incident. He has a history of this kind of thing. It really surprises me how most people reacting to this are ignoring or don't even seem to know about the violence aspect of this issue. Personally, I think the violence is the biggest factor rather than his remarks about other cast members. It seems that most of the people commenting on this issue are either gays who are strictly focused on the homophobic remarks or anti-gay or blacks who are trying to minimize the issue by focusing on the homophobic remarks as being insufficient grounds for firing. So, what about the violence ? If someone attacked you at your workplace, what do you think would happen to them ?
