MTV's 'Human Giant' needs you: Live telethon scheduled

Everybody deserves a second chance. Even critically acclaimed, but low low ratings "Friday Night Lights" got their reprieve from the dreaded network ax, and now MTV is banking that you can turn the tide for their under-the-radar critical darling sleeper hit, "Human Giant" too.

MTV is giving Human Giant 24 hours to earn a second season – and they need to get a million hits on their site to do it. The twist? MTV and MTV2 is being left to the inmates that run the creative asylum- the cast of Human Giant gets to do whatever they want, on-air, for an entire day. Oh yes, and they promise it will be the "most kickass telethon ever …. without all the sick kids."When, you say?The guys on "Human Giant" need a million hits on HumanGiant.mtv.com between 12noon ET/ 9am PT on Friday, May 18th and 12noonET /9am PT on Saturday, May 19th – ending with the Human Giant season finale at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT. How, you add?You fans can text, email, send photos, watch videos and pretty much do anything Human Giant demands on HumanGiant.mtv.com. So, for the love of "the Illusionators", the Giants send off to the cheesy David Blaines of the world, or "Shutterbugs", their hilarious ode to the skeevy talent Agents who prey on the toddler star wannabes, get off your fat money maker and do something to make your voices heard!"Human Giant" says: "MTV challenged us and said play the shows you want, book the bands you love and don't stop for 24 hours...We said Yes. So expect the unexpected (though now it’s no longer unexpected). And would it be a telethon without celebrity friends dropping by? Throughout the 24 hours, guests will show up to keep us company and, in a few instances, sing a few songs like Mastodon, Ted Leo, Tapes 'n Tapes, Albert Hammond, Jr., Rakim with DJ Kid Kapri, Tegan & Sara, The National and Morningwood. Other folks stopping by are Will Arnett and Michael Cera of Arrested Development, Eugene Mirman, Zach Galifianakis, the Daily Show's Rob Riggle, Andy Blitz, Jon Glaser, Slovin and Allen, and Jon Benjamin.""As with all electioneering, there’s way for the enterprising few to cheat the system - texting support counts! But fans can also show up in Times Square to deliver a pizza counting for 80 hits, or carving Paul Scheer’s face into Mount Rushmore for the entire million hits (though Rob Huebel’s face is only worth 750K). i just feel like leave a very messed up comment..your show is so stupid..stupid enough to make me laugh..but it is still stupid...i mean 'cat boner'..wut kind of phrase is that??ur show is still stupid..but fun to watch..when theres absolutly nothing else on!!

Wow, live TV.. again after all these years.. and its not a telethon for people you never know if they really help the people who really need help. My 22 year old is also getting her 4 wisdom teeth out today.Just like that other girl. Do dentists all take wisdom teeth out on a special dayeach month, and then get a kick back from the tooth fairy?

i luv ur show it is probaly is the best thing ever 2 happen 2 mtv, its frick'n hilarious i hope u reach ur goal of 1 million and most of all 2 ur 2nd season. 4 shizel my peeps u rock!!!!!! ur awe sum, u shud have told me to prepare my mind 4 the mind explossion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
