'American Idol' Shock results: Then there were two

Tonight will be a commercial nightmare, I can feel it already.  Tonight, one of the contestants, Blake, Melinda or Jordin, has to go.

The results are no sure bets, they all did well last night, and has to be the most up-in-the-air show ever. 

Guessing by the blogosphere and reader remarks, there is no clear pick to go regarding these final three contestants. 

FOX is promoting the Simpson movie heavily, and Homer Simpson introduces the show, instead of Ryan Seacrest.

Blake, Melinda and Jordin sit next to each other, Blake has a crazy shirt on again.

Performing on the show tonight: Elliott Yamin and Maroon 5.

Now the recap of last night, the three sing three songs. 

Now a promo for the upcoming Idol tour.  Sanjaya is singing "You Really Got Me".  I am in disbelief this tour will rake in any real money this year.

Seacrest now sits down with the three finalists.

First segment: Jordin's trip home to Glendale, Arizona.  The mall where she had her first job is packed for Jordin.   

Seacrest tells her she'll find out the results later in the show.

Second segment: Blake is in his hometown of Bothell, Washington. 

Blake's dad is on camera, he is crying a bit, Ryan tells him to sit down.

Elliott Yamin takes the stage.  He is a good singer.

Paula is crying her eyes out. ??

More commercials, Ford cars.

Third segment:  Melinda's homecoming to Nashville, Tennessee.  People love her, including a girl who says that Melinda has "gotten her through a lot of hard times."  Melinda got a street named after her. I love her too but you regulars who read my weekly Idol jazz know this already.

Commercials galore.  Maroon 5 will perform. Their cd comes out next week.

Jordin is safe.  Oh my freaking G*d, Melinda is being sent home.
