'American Idol': Then there were three

By Stone Martindale May 10, 2007, 2:00 GMT

Okay, live satellite feed and American Idol, how deep is your love?

Brown haired Blake Lewis is wearing a tuxedo t-shirt.  I am confused over this choice of attire.  Oh right, eighties...disco.

Live from Tinseltown, Ryan goofs on Paula and Simon, by saying that Paula, essentially has to have more cleavage than Simon.  I think it is a veiled man boob joke.  The show now features a recap of performances last night.

Flashback to last night: Barry Gibb loves Jordin. He gives her mad props.  Simon expects "incredible" from their performances.  Seacrest does impromptu interviews at the Farmers Market next to the Grove, (the place Posh shops at daily), man on the street stuff.

FYI, If you are visiting LA, there is a French restaurant tucked in there that is tres magnifique called Monsieur Marcel and it stays open late which is a rarity for an LA eatery.  But I digress.

The Idol tour shows Sanjaya as a main draw, that would be like Kryptonite for me.

Singer Pink (?) is on stage to sing "Who Knew?"  This throws me as much as Blake's shirt. Her eye makeup is very smoky and pretty, good contrast with the platinum Joan Jett hair style.

A bad commercial with a Kinks song, "You Really Got Me" is played.  The idols are in it.  Did I say it was bad?

The four final singers sing a medley tribute to the songs of Barry Gibb.

The camera finds Bill Maher in the audience, and Michael Chiklis, and Jessica Alba.

For some strange reason the Fantastic Four film is promo-ed.  It should have been called the Fatastic Bore.

The final four are huddled in the mass, embracing in a circle of magic.

Jordin is safe.  Barry Gibb performs, like Diana Ross, his legendary voice is showing its age.

The results. Melinda is safe.  Simon thinks LaKisha will go.

LAKISHA JONES GOES HOME
