Actually they talk about a new set in the show where advertising would be incorporated into the background. It was to look like the real sunset strip with billboards and such.
So this news isn't a sign either way, in my opinion.
And besides... the gentleman in question *didn't* say he had seen it... my bet is that he trolled the imdb boards to get the story.
Striking a set doesn't mean anything... S60 is filmed in a Movie Sound Stage - not a TV one... the could be striking it to move to a smaller set, the could be striking it because 'Tis the Season to film Movies'...
I guess we will know come May 17... and if NBC is doofus enough to let it slip through their fingers - god willing that some other network with an eye for quality will find a home for it.
Aaron Sorkin is too smart for network television. He should give HBO a call.
Network television should become smart enough to accomodate Aaron Sorkin. All good things should flow through the boulevard, and that especially applies to Sorkin.
I'm with DW on this one. Excellent idea!! You listening, Aaron?
