The cast and crew of the long running series, "NYPD Blue" recently got together to help out a fellow cast member. Hollywood blogger Janet Charlton notes that the former producer, Bill Clark, "organized a big reunion the other night at an Italian restaurant at Universal Citywalk."

Charlton reports that it was a surprise party for actor Ray Latulipe, who played detective, Josh Astrachan on the show for 59 episodes and was recently diagnosed with cancer.
"Ray was with the show from beginning to end - when he wasn't acting on it he was working off-camera doing a variety of things like taking people on tours of the set or collecting bets for sporting events pools."
When the show's producers heard he was sick they got together and threw him a party, and Charlton says over a hundred people showed up.
Handsome actor Jimmy Smits, recently seen out enjoying the Showtime comedy special screening "Original Latin Divas" at Paramount the other night, actor Dennis Franz, Henry Simmons, Gordon Clapp and Jacqueline Obredors were there.
The party that included crew, above the line production staff and stars enjoyed the bash according to Charlton, and Ray was helped out too financially from gifts and good wishes from his friends.
