Jennifer Love Hewitt is being sued by her former management company.
Handprint Management allege Jennifer owes them outstanding monies for brokering her seven-year deal to star in hit US TV series 'The Ghost Whisperer'.
The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' actress ended her contract with Handprint Management in March 2005, but the company insists it was responsible for securing the lucrative contract in the same year.
The firm acknowledges that Jennifer paid in full for the first series of the hit show but refused to pay up for series two.
The lawsuit, which has been obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, states the company is seeking at least $350,000 in damages.
Handprint Management also claims the actress' career was in freefall until she landed the role which brought her "back to national prominence as a television star".
