The Celine Dion/Elvis duet was AMAZING. The best piece of television viewing in many a year. The song 'If I Can Dream' was specially written for his 1968 TV Special and is an outstanding message song. Elvis was such a one of a kind singer/performer and we will never forget him.

Long Live THE KING.

Maybe half the world\'s population has accompanied Elvis Presley over the last 50 years. Thankfully in the privacy of their own homes. Few voices are able to blend with Elvis\'s amazing voice. Back in 1960 Sinatra payed Elvis 120,000 dollars to sing two songs on his TV Show, and they performed a quite an interesting duet then, mingling \'Love Me Tender\' and \'Witchcraft\'! Lisa Marie Presley accompanied an image of her father singing \'Don\'t Cry Daddy at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis 1997. That event got a standing ovation by the audience. Mostly discerning Elvis fans of course :-) Celine Dion\'s duet with Elvis got the attention of the world press. A lot more attention than Robbie William\'s effort singing \'Trouble\' with an image of Elvis out singing, and eclipsing him. Elvis sang a duet with himself, \'True Love\' on his 1957 \'Loving You\' Album. Can anyone get hold of Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly for the trio of the Century?! We are living in remarkable times.........more shades of witchcraft, \'When shall we three meet again.........?\' Seriously, what a year for the late Elvis Presley. The world does not want to let Elvis go!

Elvis & Celine was one of the most amazing, unbelievable performances I have ever seen...I had goose bumps, tears. Can you imagine if Celine could have performed live with Elvis, what a duo that would have been. Thanks to who ever made this possible

The man is dead, let him rest in peace.. He has no control over how his image and voice are used, maybe you would like to see Elvis in a Pizza Hut commercial next? I am shocked that his estate would allow such a travesty when they have been so careful with his memory up until now. The whole thing was dusgusting on the same level as Colorizing Citizen Kane & Fred Astaire dancing with a vacuum.

I think the point of it was for the clip to be downloaded at iTunes for a small fee and the proceeds going to the charities mentioned in the show - making it free is really not cool!

I think if Elvis was up there looking down at it, he probably thought it was pretty cool.

There is no voice as easy to listen to as Elvis in his prime. The duet was a good idea but Celine didn't blend well. Wish it had been a better match.

I loved the entire show, but this gave me goosebumps and made me cry. I grew up listing to Elvis and can just imagine how great it would have been for Celine and Elvis to sing together for real. I thought that their voices where great together. I love the man and miss him so I thought it was a great way to get people interested in American Idol Gives Back. Nothing like bringing back the memory of such a wonderful man for this occasion.
I am glad that I found it for free on this web site. Some of the people I work with missed the show so I was able to play it for them. They loved it too!
I want to thank the Estate of Elvis for making it all possible.
I love American Idol and I think Elvis had a smile on his face as he watched from above (If he could have been there for real I bet he would have).

Absolutely the most amazing editing I have ever seen! I am a huge Elvis fan and to have 'him' on Idol was spectacular! I could not at first tell if it was Elvis (well with all those impersonators out there) so I played the clip of Elvis comeback special beside the Idol version and was amazed, Celine and The 'real' elvis together! For some who say it was sappy or that This should have not been played I say nuts to you. The harmonics were incredible, the solo's were heart stopping, and I feel Celine just took If I can dream to a whole new extreme. This was a pinnacle song for Elvis in 1968 and I would not have thought it could be re-mixed like this. Hands down best duet in the History of music and will be forever remembered!

The performance on Canadian Idol on Wednesday night took me back to my teen years when we were all in love with Elvis. His voice and persona are unmatched to this day.

Indeed, Elvis is still THE KING. I'm afraid his hologram stole the show - Celine has a beautiful voice, but it wasn't her people were mezmorized by last night.

It was a jaw-dropping performance, and so great to be able to see Elvis again. It made me cry.

This was phenominal; what technology has done! I love Céline Dion (we're Canadians) and Elvis has been my idol since my teen years. This was so much enjoyed. Great work guys! Thank you America!

I recorded it and watched it a dozen times already! I fell in love with Elvis when I was 14. I'm 42 now and it was a strage and incredible feeling watching him on a 2007 stage with Celine on American Idol!

I wish they would do that more with him and other deceased performers. It felt like we had him back, like he came back from the dead. I loved that performance more than anyone the whole night.

Long live the King!!!!!!

Absolutely incredible. I'm so curious to find out if the audience saw the same images that the tv viewers saw. I'd love to see a behind the scenes on how it was done. It was stunningly remarkable.

Elvis STILL rocks!

Since I try to keep up with technology, it's a little hard to catch me unaware, but the presentation of Elvis and Celine doing the duet really flabbergasted me. I sat there with goosebumps and my mouth hanging open in awe the entire time. All the wannabe singers out there should take note of what a real (albeit a hologram) can do. Celine Dion can die happy now after having been able to sing a duet with her 'Idol'.

Elvis will forever be the quintessential Idol, like Ryan Seacrest said.

Long live the King!

As a grown man in his mid forties, you'd think it would take more then some video on TV to almost bring him to tears. But as I watched Elvis with Celine, I felt my eyes glaze up. Like millions, I grew up loving Elvis. That video was like a visit from a long departed friend. Thanks, it was beyond great to see the undisputed #1 American Idol. And yes, I bought the video from itunes.

Can't believe I missed that American Idol performance. Maybe American Idol can be coerced into replaying that show. I was born in 1956, the big introduction year of Elvis. My mother unintentionally made sure we didn't even know there was another singer. It is normally not an easy thing to bring tears to my eyes but seeing Elvis on Utube...

My mom had this episode on her TIVO and she too watched it over and over. Technology today is pretty amazing!

Unfortunately it was deleted and she has regretted it ever since and can't stop talking about it. Is there anyone out there who has it on their TIVO, DVDR or VHS? I would pay to get a copy so that my Mom could relive the memory again. She, like many, was a huge Elvis fan.

Please email me if you do have it.....PLEASE! troy@fiveaxis.net

Thanks,
