Since I try to keep up with technology, it's a little hard to catch me unaware, but the presentation of Elvis and Celine doing the duet really flabbergasted me. I sat there with goosebumps and my mouth hanging open in awe the entire time. All the wannabe singers out there should take note of what a real (albeit a hologram) can do. Celine Dion can die happy now after having been able to sing a duet with her 'Idol'.
Elvis will forever be the quintessential Idol, like Ryan Seacrest said.
Long live the King!
As a grown man in his mid forties, you'd think it would take more then some video on TV to almost bring him to tears. But as I watched Elvis with Celine, I felt my eyes glaze up. Like millions, I grew up loving Elvis. That video was like a visit from a long departed friend. Thanks, it was beyond great to see the undisputed #1 American Idol. And yes, I bought the video from itunes.
Elvis is still the King!!! That performance was so wonderful and I have watched it over and over.It brought tears to my eyes as I have always loved him.
Thanks to Whom Ever made it Possible.
Can't believe I missed that American Idol performance. Maybe American Idol can be coerced into replaying that show. I was born in 1956, the big introduction year of Elvis. My mother unintentionally made sure we didn't even know there was another singer. It is normally not an easy thing to bring tears to my eyes but seeing Elvis on Utube...
My mom had this episode on her TIVO and she too watched it over and over. Technology today is pretty amazing!
Unfortunately it was deleted and she has regretted it ever since and can't stop talking about it. Is there anyone out there who has it on their TIVO, DVDR or VHS? I would pay to get a copy so that my Mom could relive the memory again. She, like many, was a huge Elvis fan.
Please email me if you do have it.....PLEASE! troy@fiveaxis.net
Thanks,
