i will truly miss rosie. she was the only truly honest person on the show and was never scared to speak her mind on an issue. she made the show interesting and represented a public perspective that was often not shown on the show before she came. she stood up for minorities, the gay community, and all other groups of people whose issues are often ignored or treated with disregard. before rosie, we saw everyday a bunch of super conservative women all with the same point of view. i hope she finds success in whatever else she decides to pursue in the future. she will truly be missed by many.

Good! I am glad that loud mouth nut-job is leaving the show! She has brought nothing but discrace to an otherwise intelligent program. I might actually start watching again.

This is great news for women...at least women who believe in traditional marriage, family values like...say, not using abortion as birth control, and for those women who believe that Al-Qaeda is a greater threat to global peace than are conservative Christians.
This is great for men who like to look at women who are a tad bit lady-like (vs. combat boot wearing dyke), and like to converse with them, not be spat at by them, and great for children who look up at TV personalities as role models.
overall, the only way this news can be topped is when we learn that she is rejected by every TV network.

We are ever so thankful Rosie, to know that you will take your foul mind and mouth off the pedestal you have put your self on.
Good riddance. Women as a whole can call this day and announcement very liberating. Foul mouthed people need not be added to American viewers already overly large supply media sensationalism. Ahhhhh, a breath of fresh air comes to ABC network.!!!

Why do people get mad at Rosie? Narrow minded dopes!
Rosie is awesome. She is talented, funny and RIGHT.
I will not watch the View again after she leaves.
Years ago I liked the show and then with the oriental girl
I lost interest as she annoyed me. Then when Rosie came on,
I cannot miss this show but when she leaves, I will not watch.

Rosie, you are honest, intelligent, hysterically funny.

I do not agree on your support of illegal immigrants but
yes, every other word out of your mouth is TRUE AND RIGHT
and you are a blessing who makes my day, who I can relate to
as I am a single mother, not gay but struggling in so many ways.
So many dumb republicans surround me. I resonate with your thoughts.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!! I might actually start watching The View again! As Greg said, the only thing better would be if all the other networks slammed the door in her face. She needs to be shut out of show business altogether as every time she gets in front of a camera, she's a freak show. That's the only reason she generates an income, i.e. being the freak in her own freak show and the public can't get enough of the freak. Lesbian or not, she's still in a woman's body and a disgrace to all other women out there. Women were never meant to be that crude.

I just wonder if 'Greg' below, is The Donald, with his misognistic comments. It's so nice to know that a MAN knows what's good for women.

I thought all lesbian women were just airheads. Rosie changed that for me. I think all of humanity has a little something wrong with them. I try to see the good in everyone. Sometimes its hard to see. Rosie has a sweet spot, believe it or not. Maybe I'm falling in love.

I think she really cares. There are many a rich conservative woman who is heartbroken about a poor woman aborting a child. But do they care about making a poor woman's life any better? Often the answer is no. Do they care about the world being a better place, or are they simply concerned about optimizing their own enjoyment of the good things in life?

Rosie risks her financial optimization to speak her mind. I thought it was extremely brave of her to state the obvious that shocks many conservatives. I am not speaking of abortion, but only of a simply non-controversial statement she made about physics. Popular mechanics magazine rebutted her claims about THe THIRD building to fall on 9/11/2001. Rosie said it was impossible for a building to fall straight down. If her statement is ridiculous, it seems equally ridiculous that PMs spokesman said that, 'in the real world buildings fall straight down unlike in cartoons where buildings topple over.' (Quote from memory, a bit paraphrased)Why are demolition companies paid so much money to rig a building with explosives so that it will fall straight down-(as if a building would topple over like in the cartoons!)

So lets not abort our children, lets have them and raise them to be ignorant and stupid. That seems like cruel and unusual treatment of our children. But in the neoconservative mindset torture is OK. I think I like Rosie better. A true conservative would be better still. A true conservative would also demand an investigation that cost at least as much as Bill Clintons sex investigation.

Lets just take the money we saved on investigating Bush's sex life and apply it to 911.

If your over 18 go to www.moid.org and click ED, then click the george bush link. I didn't spend one dollar and look what I find.

roses really smell like........Apr 25th, 2007 - 16:03:54

i'm all for everyone having a chance to express their opinion. but rosie seemed to think that her opinion was the only one that mattered. i hate the way she hijacked the show every morning, using it as her own little power trip. if you didn't agree with her, she tried to make you look stupid. this is a woman who dropped out of college, a so called 'comedian', not a rhodes scholar. it's fine to disagree, it's good. it's not fine to belittle those who disagree with you. i am happy she is leaving. now, hopefully, the housewives of america will now do their do their own research on current issues, instead of spewing the ramblings of a college drop out with an agenda. i wish people would remember that just because somebody is on tv, does not mean they are smart. most of our children are smarter than celebrities. rosie has all the answers right? well then she should run for office. that would be an interesting experience for her. this woman started personal vendettas against so many people. that is not normal. and i loved the fact that she was so hypersensitive against people being anti-gay, however she insults a whole race of people by making fun of their language. her response was basically that she was joking, that is her humor, she will probably do it again. hmmmmm, for somebody who pokes fun at others she sure gets very angry when people poke fun at her. needless to say, i think she has worn out her welcome and she realizes it. best of luck rosie.

EDIT

oh and just reading through some other posts......not suprised at all to see somebody like Birdie supporting rosie. 'the oriental girl'? only a rosie fan could be so flippantly offensive. i think you meant the asian girl. this proves my point exactly of what type of people would fall for rosie's gimick.

rosies view was a much needed alternate to the yes women and their conservative opinions. wake up america, not all of us think everyone should carry a gun a blow away anyone that disagrees with them. Look at the number of personal rights we have given up due to the current administrations 'war on terrorism'. interesting greg that you should know so musch about women. you sound like a man who needs to look at himself not smoeone else.

upset in arizona, so do you agree with rosie's asertions that the us gov was involved in 9/11? how she incinuates the gov must have been involved in the collapse of builging 7 b/c of the way it imploded on itself? this is the woman you are defending.
