Letterman and Philbin have a heart connection

No stranger to heart issues, David Letterman plans to support friend Regis Philbin whe he returns to "Live With Regis and Kelly" Thursday after recovering from heart surgery, Long time tv host David Letterman will be there to greet him, co-host Kelly Ripa said.The 75-year-old Philbin had endured a triple-bypass heart surgery last month. Ripa was joined by a myriad of guest hosts filling in while Philbin was home recouperating.The Hollywood Reporter states Letterman has been a prior guest of "Live with Regis." Philbin has also appeared on Letterman's CBS show "Late Show With David Letterman" many times too, and guest-hosted when Letterman had his heart-bypass surgery seven years ago.
