The King of reality TV - “Survivor,” “The Apprentice” and the upcoming “On the Lot” and “Pirate Master”, Mark Burnett has created of a scripted division. He is actively seeking new comedies, dramas and films for the 2007-2008 television season.

Burnett has tapped former NBC executive and independent producer Ken Raskoff to head this division.
Burnett has also developed a new model of integrated entertainment for the internet - AOL’s “Gold Rush”- and for the promotion of a film - Dreamworks/AOL “Flushed Away Underground Adventure” and “Ye Olde Shrek the Third Royal Tournament” - and recently produced the #1 new series on any network since 1998 - “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader”. He continues to serve as Executive Producer of the daytime syndicated series “Martha,” and is preparing to produce the MTV Movie Awards on June 3rd.
“Ken’s experience as an independent producer and a network executive has given him the opportunity to garner relationships within the literary community while gaining the adept knowledge necessary to make him a strong presence with the writers,” said Mark Burnett.
“We are very much looking forward to getting actively involved in the scripted world as we begin to meet with writers and develop a bold slate for the 2007-2008 television season.”
Raskoff previously had enjoyed extensive experience in the entertainment industry, working on over 100 TV movies, including a ten year post at NBC as a programming executive in the Movie for TV Department.
He most recently worked on “Survivor” where he met Mr. Burnett.
